We are pumped for the film and television line up this month. The end of the year signals the release of Oscar nomination contenders, so the most hyped flicks of the year finally leave the editing suite and enter the movie theatres. In November 2017 we were introduced to Saoirse Ronan's portrayal of an angsty and love-able teen in Lady Bird, the cinematic brilliance of Luca Guadagnino's Call Me By Your Name and the gripping tale of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri headed by Francis McDormand. This year's themes include nods to the music industry, tales of the 20th century and nail-biting drama. A Star Is Born

Most everyone who enters the cinema to watch A Star is Born, walks out teary-eyed and for good reason. The film seemingly sets out to pull at your heartstrings, drawing you into the love between Jackson (Bradley Cooper) and Ally (Lady Gaga). It is the fourth remake of A Star Is Born and is being critically compared to the 1976 adaptation starring Barbara Streisand. Songs from the films' soundtracks have already made it into the music charts, so if you are all about the song"Shallow", then you will be in awe of the characters performing it in the film. Bohemian Rhapsody

If the trailers for Bohemian Rhapsody don't draw you in then we're not sure what will. Starring Rami Malek as music icon and Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury, the film follows the formation of the band and the eventual demise following Mercury's passing. Queens original band members acted as producers for the film, which has been in production for 8 years. We know that we will be blasting Queens hits all week following our first viewing of the film. Ladies In Black

This film sets to teleport you to the summer of 1959 in Sydney. It revolves around the working and personal lives of women at the prestigious department store Goode's. We predict scandal, love and iconic fashion will be major parts of the film. Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist

Dame Vivienne Westwood has been redefining British fashion for over 40 years and is responsible for creating many of the most distinctive looks of recent time. This documentary blends archival footage and current interviews with the designer and businesswoman whose personality is as bold as her wardrobe.
Maniac

The Netflix series Maniac has every talking, so it's unsurprising that this has made our list. Combine the acting chops of Emma Stone and Jonah Hill, place them in the middle of a pharmaceutical trial and feature incredible visuals - this is a recipe for success.
